Qtrol Surface Cleaner
Basic Use
Qtrol Surface Cleaner is an economical, and unique combination of biodegradeable surfactants that target moss, mould, and general grime on any exterior surface. When diluted with water and applied, Qtrol starts to attack the contamination on the treated surface, and each time it rains, Qtrol reactivates to help flush the mould and grime away without damaging the substrate. Qtrol is easy to use as you only have to wet the contaminated surface and let nature do the rest.
Limitations
Although Qtrol is incredibly effective and easy to use, it is slow acting.

5 and 20 litre containers |
Application
- Dilute 1 part Qtrol with 5 parts water.
- Qtrol is best applied with a garden sprayer or similar in overcast dry conditions or late in the day, to avoid rapid evaporation.
- Do not apply if rain is expected within four to five hours.
- Simply wet the surface to be cleaned and make sure a thorough saturation of the surface with Qtrol is achieved.
- Once treated, Qtrol relies on the weathering elements such as rain to remove the grime and mould.
- Roofs: If on tank water, disconnect water supply into tank until a minimum of 6mm of rain has fallen before reconnecting.
- Maintenance: Qtrol will allow treated surfaces, once clean, to be maintained simply by applying Qtrol once a year or at the first sign of recontamination.
- Reaction Time: Is totally dependent on the intensity of the growth. If the contamination is really light you will see results within days, otherwise it may take approximately 2-3 months to see improvements. Concrete may turn a slight brown colour when the Qtrol is applied. This is a normal reaction and shows you have had a good penetration. This discoloration will dissipate over a short period of time and is not permanent. In the worst case where contamination is extreme, cleanup may take 6-12 months.
Cleanup and Precautions
Qtrol is slippery when applied to surface so use caution when walking on adjacent horizontal surfaces. DO NOT walk on surfaces coated with Qtrol. Water flush all equipment, vegetation, paths, concrete, asphalt, and other adjacent surfaces immediately upon undesirable contact. Leave job site free of any trace amounts of Qtrol. Always remember that Qtrol is a hazardous chemical, and refer to the health and safety considerations listed in the MSDS sheet prior to commencing any project. Fully protect adjacent surfaces including vegetation and be aware of the potential for wind drift into areas with cars or pedestrian traffic when rinsing or applying. Never leave behind any containers or equipment, and appropriately label any containers of residue for disposal.
